Church Planters

Heath married his high school sweetheart Caryssa Van Zandt, March 11, 2017. They have two beautiful children, Salem and Silas who have Cystic Fibrosis. Heath graduated from Norris Bible Baptist Seminary on May 18, 2021. Before planting Antioch Baptist Church, Heath served as the Associate/Youth Pastor at Santa Fe Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX for 3 years.

After accepting Christ as his Savior during March of his Senior Year of high school, Heath felt the call to full time ministry in April of the same year at a youth conference. In his Freshmen Year of Bible College, during the Week of Concentrated Studies focused on Church Planting, the Lord began to burden Heath about becoming a church planter. Since feeling the burden for church planting and patiently serving the Lord as directed, the Lord has confirmed Heath’s calling to planting churches. Antioch Baptist Church officially launched on February 27, 2022.

I am originally from Cameroon, West Africa. My pastoral ministry started in 1988 as a Youth Pastor at Macedonian Baptist Church Molyko, Buea. Then, in 1991, I became a Youth Leader and Youth Pastor at Etoug-Ebe Baptist Church, Yaounde before answering the call in 1994-1996 for full time ministry as the Church Planter Pastor. The LORD miraculously took me in the fall of 1996 to further my studies at the Chicago’s Moody Bible Institute, founded by D.L. Moody. After my graduation from Moody Bible Institute’s Graduate School division in May 1998 with a Master of Biblical Studies, the LORD brought me to Dallas in the summer of 1998 to study Bible Exposition at the Dallas Theological Seminary. This is when the LORD started speaking to me to evangelize the international community including the African people in North Texas. After two years, Mercy and I got married in May 2000; God blessed us with four beautiful children. I graduated from Dallas Seminary with a Master of Theology in 2003, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 2009. I praise the LORD for my family and educational accomplishments. They give me their full support in the church planting ministry and I can only pray thank God.

Mercy and I got married in May 2000, We met at the Baptist Church in Yaounde, Cameroon. And while I was preaching at Bethel Baptist Church, in Etoudi, Mercy was running the Children Church. By his grace, God has blessed us with 4 beautiful children. Mercy and the Children are serving the LORD 100% with me in the Church. Children, Youth, Music, and FBEIC Woman’s outreach. I graduated from Dallas Seminary with a Master of Theology 2003, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 2009. I am also a Certified Professional Scrum Master in software development for which I praise the
LORD.

Pastor David Pigott was born in Memphis, TN, the son of Evangelist Steve Pigott and Sarah Pigott. He grew up in San Francisco, CA in a Christian home, and heard the gospel at a very young age, and knew that he was a sinner in need of a Savior. When he was nine years old, he asked God to forgive his sin and be his Savior, and God came into his life and changed it forever. The immediate sense of God’s presence and peace and eternal security were the most powerful internal influences that his life had ever encountered.

When he was fourteen, his family moved to the Washington D.C. area, where he felt God’s call to enter the ministry as a senior in high school. He attended Pensacola Christian College and Pensacola Theological Seminary, where he studied for pastoral ministry, and entered full time ministry in 2003. He met his wife and the love of his life, Khristi, while in college, and they were married in 2006.

He planted a church in Northern California in 2007, and pastored it for seven years. In 2014, He joined the staff of Fountain of Life Baptist Church in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, where his twin brother pastors. From 2018 to 2022, he was the Youth Pastor at Harbor Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.

David and Khristi have been blessed with the unique privilege of working and ministering extensively with children’s ministry, teen ministry, college ministry, and adult and couples’ ministries; and they have a strong desire to see the next generation of leaders move the Kingdom of God forward. They have a deep love for the Lord, for souls, for marriages, and for church planting and the local church, and a desire to see Holy Ghost Revival in our nation and churches..

God has touched his heart for the area north of Dallas, Texas that is growing and expanding, and has a need for new churches. They launched Freedom Life Baptist Church in April of 2023.

David and Khristi have a little mini doxie named Cali. They love the ocean, Chinese food, and day trips.
